Kate Forster
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Case Manager
Kate is a case manager for the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. Kate feels like she can connect with people from all walks of life, and enjoys hearing personal stories of success, tragedy, and joy.
Everyone has a story. Kate's story began early, as she and her twin sister were born 2 1/2 months prematurely. This has never stopped Kate, providing her with a determination and understanding of life's tough obstacles. After growing up in Wallowa County, she went on to college in Vermont and Colorado, where she learned how to learn, gaining self-confidence and advocacy skills.
Community is very important to Kate, so she wants to help clients better access the beauty of Wallowa County. Whether it be teaching life skills, listening to music, writing a poem, or leading a group, she wants to help each peer feel valued, heard, and make life a little easier for them. She believes we can all learn from each other.
