Annie is in her last year of graduate school and is completing her clinical internship at Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness. She will be serving as the school counselor for Enterprise schools 3 days a week, and with clients in the community.
Annie has been working with youth for more than ten years. She started in the outdoor adventure field, working as a sea canoe guide in the San Juan Islands and as program coordinator for Northwest Outdoor Science School on the Oregon Coast.
Annie discovered her passion for personal growth and healing while working as a wilderness trail crew leader for teenagers in the backcountry of the Cascade Mountains. From there Annie transitioned from the outdoor field into mental health. She spent the past four years as a mentor at a residential treatment center for teens, and then transitioned to working at an independent living program for young adults as a therapeutic guide. Annie is invested in meeting people where they are at and empowering them to discover and utilize their strengths, their internal and external resources, and to identify their positive support network. Annie works within a trauma-informed, relationship-based framework, and considers herself a lifelong learner. She is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this community on her path to becoming a counselor.
