Starting employment at Joseph House was a career game-changer for Amy. She had been working in affordable housing for the previous ten years. Since beginning work at Joseph House, she started taking college courses and will receive a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2023. Working here has opened up many opportunities for growth in her career. We are so glad Amy is part of the Joseph House team.

tomokoTomoko Ishiszaki
Med Aid

Tomoko has been with Joseph House since the beginning. She brings a deep dedication to client-care and the background of being a Registered Nurse for several years at a psychiatric hospital in Japan. Her general client observations and responses to medications are invaluable. Tomoko is so detail-oriented that nothing gets by her and her communication is very effective. She paints a brilliant picture of any situation going on in the house. Many say Joseph House would not run as smoothly as it does without Tomoko. She does a lot of behind the scenes work to make Joseph House a very comfortable and safe place for the residents to live. The team values Tomoko taking ownership of holding down the nights, because they all sleep well due to her dedicated service.

Seeing their faces light up and fill with smiles makes Ella's day. They are amazing individuals and Ella does her best to remind them of that each and every day.
