Jeff Harman is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 40 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, veterans, and couples.
Jeff has a strong base of counseling experience working with adults to diagnose and treat depression, bipolar disorder, general mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and anxiety disorders such as social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. He is also experienced in the areas of premarital, marital and family therapy.
Jeff’s work with children includes diagnosing and treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Jeff is an approved supervisor for counseling interns working toward licensure in Oregon. He is a family mediator for Union and Wallowa Counties. He has also conducted more than 150 custody evaluations in 15 Oregon counties.
Jeff’s approach to therapy is client centered. He begins with a personal interview that helps clients to introduce themselves, talk about the history of the problems they are dealing with, how these problems affect their lives, and how they would like their lives to be different in positive ways. Jeff draws from many years of training and experience to identify the nature of the problem, and to provide therapy that is tailored to be personal, and to meet the individual needs of each client.
