Sandra Catlin, LCSW

Sandra Catlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently sees clients at Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness and her private practice in Joseph. Her experience in mental health prior to practicing in Wallowa County included child welfare, outpatient therapy for children with severe emotional disturbance and adults with severe mental illness, inpatient treatment in a geropsychiatric facility, and intensive outpatient group therapy for adults.

She enjoys working with children and adults of all ages and specializes in treating clients who have experienced some form of trauma. Sandi brings a warm compassion when working with you and wants to work with you in finding ways to heal from trauma.

In addition to her career in mental health, she worked in the outdoor education field for ten years and as a university professor for 21 years and brings a wealth of experience to her practice.

Specialty: children, adults, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, and she is certified in Child-Parent Psychotherapy.

Education: Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Graduate Certificate in Infant/Toddler Mental Health from Portland State University, a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Washington.
