Erica manages the Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness fidelity programs and is a mental health therapist. She also serves as an active member of the ACT and EASA teams. Erica has experience working with various populations, including her former experience as a special education teacher, manager of special programs in moderate sized school district in the Willamette Valley, and working as a private Behavioral Consultant for school districts, I/DD foster homes serving youth and adults. Erica specializes in helping Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness implement and maintain fidelity-achieving programs and mobilizing multidisciplinary teams.
Erica believes that fidelity programs are a vital part of helping a broad spectrum of families, youth and adults access the supports they need while navigating multiple service agencies and systems of care. Many of the systems of care can be confusing, overwhelming or difficult to access alone or in times of duress. Through multidisciplinary teams, many clients are able to achieve whole health recovery goals that might not be possible without more intense or team based supports wrapped around them.
Erica enjoys working with diverse populations. She likes to help consumers create care plans that utilize behavior change and environmental supports. Often, working with families and consumers in their own living spaces provides her more accurate information to help them create tangible, lasting changes. Meeting people where they are at, listening to their story and seeking to understand their needs are also her priorities when developing a trusting relationship with consumers.
She is also passionate about advocating for vulnerable and at-risk populations within the mental health system. Erica values dignity and respect for the people she supports, both co-workers and consumers.
