Vanessa Lewis

Vanessa joined Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness as Chief Clinical Officer, bringing extensive experience in behavioral health leadership. With a background as both a clinician and director in outpatient services, she specializes in trauma care and whole-person wellness. Passionate about mental health equity, she is committed to removing barriers to care and driving meaningful change in the field.

Throughout her career, Vanessa has actively sought opportunities to develop and expand community programs for underserved populations. She has a deep interest in creating accessible, impactful mental health services and has worked to design and implement programs that address disparities in care. Her dedication to serving marginalized communities aligns with WVCW’s mission to provide comprehensive, inclusive support to all who need it.

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Vanessa relocated to Wallowa County because of WVCW’s unique integrated care model, which she sees as a rare and special approach to mental health and wellness. Vanessa believes that true wellness comes from addressing the whole person and is excited to be part of a team that embraces this comprehensive approach.

She holds advanced degrees in counseling and is currently pursuing an MBA in healthcare management. As a certified trauma specialist, she looks forward to expanding holistic support options to the community.

Outside of work, Vanessa is passionate about travel and makes it a priority to explore new destinations at least twice a year. She also enjoys running and staying active. Fun fact—before her career in mental health, she was a professional dancer and even worked as a TV host and radio DJ!
