Sven Geirnaert

Sven joined the Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness in February of 2022. He was born and raised in a land of waffles and chocolate (Belgium). He has a Bachelor’s degree in Socio-Educational Care Work specializing in working with troubled youth. During the last year of this education, he completed an internship with a Social Work team in a Cambodian school for ex-street children. It was at this time that he met his now wife and moved to Portland, Oregon where he worked with the homeless population for 5 years. Their desire to live a more rural life closer to the mountains drew them to Wallowa County. His need to continue to do meaningful work and support others led him to join this agency.
